Vengeance! Assassinate him I say. That'll teach her to betray her country.

Its difficult to find suitors. The Danes and Spaniards had anticipated my princesses's arrival and quickly married their sons off. 23 and no longer on the market. Only one turn away, curse those slow-moving coaches or whatever.

Taking my sons quite a lot longer to find the right woman.

If she did that you where not trying to marry her with him in a diplomatic way but rather to try and persuade him to join your faction by marrying your daughter.

I had that happen to me in reverse a couple of turns ago. One of the sons came of age, with 5(!) command stars out the gate. My general in the northwest was getting a little long in the tooth (around 60 or so), so I ran him up there asap to take over. The turn before he arrives, what do I see but some Polish trollop trying to pick him off? Come my next turn, I get the report that she's run off to Byzantium with him! SERVES YOU RIGHT!

Hmm, I was trying to marry her off to someone in the HRE to get better faction.
I couldn't find any HRE nobility so I settled on this general from Saxony.

I think though that even if this worked it wouldn't really buy me anything.

In order to inherit lands or change faction you have to marry nobility right?

Well, if you have either your princess marry their faction heir, or through diplomacy have your faction heir marry one of their princesses, then you'll make a marriage alliance with that faction. Otherwise, marrying one of their unwed generals has a pretty good chance of making that general switch to your faction, but as you've seen it's not certain.

never let the little princess carry the key to her own chastity belt.

Harlot! You must instantly assemble the army, drag her screaming from her chamber, give her to the men and have her lovers head on a pike!

Yeah, I've had that happen, too. She has a better chance of succeeding on the seduction if her Charm-rating is higher... but how the hell do you train Charm? Is turning down the marriage proposals and waiting the only way?

Anyone know if you still get chinless children if you marry your princess to your prince?

Of the two princesses I have ever had in my whole campaign (190 rounds so far, only 2 princesses...) one was married to a portuguese General (I whiped them out later on) and another was married to one of my generals, twas love and they eloped.

Since then I have seen no other princesses in my campaign :/

Regarding the charm thing, one way to increase it is to use your princess as a diplomat. That will increase her charm rating by 3-4 points.
