Is it just me or are these things not hilarious? I was cracking up after the snake one where it chased the mouse on the bedroom floor. Anyway, I just wondered if anyone else got a laugh from these things.

The two funniest videos I've seen are the failed assassination one where the snake bites the assassin instead, and the spy sneaking into the town as a bush. Both of those made me laugh out loud.

Yeah I think CA have done good with these! Keep a bit of humour in the game whilst not being silly. Might be the only one, but you ever sit there watching them and almost cheering your guy on? No...ok Im sad!

They're very funny indeed. Try killing the pope with a crossbow from about 50 yards. :laugh4:
The bush was great also.

I do miss one for generals out in the field. And maybe a special Faction Leader one. Can't have it all. Great stuff

I've seen several special church based ones but they dont seem to pop up very often.
Under the altar and in the confession booth and also looking through a keyhole.

What about the one where the guy flings the door open that the assasin is hiding behind and hits the assasin. If the assasin escapes it kind of takes the wind out of him, the target runs off and the assasin runs off. If the assasin is killed the guy flings the door open and the assasin is holding the dagger in such a way that the door hits his hand and shoves the dagger into his gut.

But I have to say if you want a good assasination video try assasinating the pope. Its not particularly funny but it just looks really cool.

BTW I looked up a bink player and looked at all the assasination videos. Its really weird becuase each time you get an assasination video in the game its actually two videos that are seamed together. So like if the assasin is planting the asp down the first video goes up to where he is just setting it down. The second video shows everything after that either it crawls up into the bed and bites the victim, chases the mouse or turns around and bites the assasin instead.

Yes, they are funny, but am I the only one who gets the same vids over and over again? Like my assassin always manages to get his snake chasing the mouse, and there are 3 infiltration ones, bush, hidden in wagon and sneaking on army in town.

I think that the one with the spy sneaking in as a bush is a bit ridiculous. I mean, how could any guard be so stupid as to not notice a rustling bush taking a stroll past them? The only thing I can think of is that the guard is actually a Ye Olde Stormtrooper.

Nah, it's the guards from Swamp Castle!

They are funny but i have to say that after seeing them several times theyre kind of getting really old. I much prefer the shogun videos because there were more of them and because they were better choreographed. The shogun videos also showed alot more like the assassin taking out a couple of guards before getting to the general. It was really cool because you were actually impressed with the ninja's skills at sneaking and killing rather than some of the really stupid stuff that the medieval assassins try to do.

Im happy that theyre in but im disappointed because they arent anywhere near the quality that the SHogun videos were.

I find them to be very silly. They are done in a "cornball tone" which makes them totally not funny in my view. If they were done in a serious tone and then added humor that did not detract from the serious tone, that would have been funny.

C'mon, be fair. There was also much silliness in the Shogun videos. Some were indeed serious Tenchu stuff but... remember the porta-lightpost ? The grenade tennis ? The guitar (well, shamisen) hanging ? The geisha with her stealth kimono in the same motif as the background wall ?

I kinda like the M2 ones... The spies' definitely get old, since there's like 3 total, but the assassins' are nice and varied. Not all of them are goofy either, far from it.

And even the goofy ones are funny sometimes. I really love the silent, frenetic movements of the snake-killer when the snake opts to chase the mouse instead of the intended victim. The way you really see and feel how bad he wants to scream in frustration, but can't... love it :)

What interests me is how the victim at the market doesn't seem to have any perhiperal vision when a shrouded guy with a knife is coming at him directly from the side. It's almost scary to watch every time as you keep thinking, "sweet lord how can he not see you! He's gonna' see you!"

sorry to revive this old thread, but need to know, if it is possible to re activate the videos after de activating them? I de activated the videos, now i can't find a way of re-activating them  sad me ....

And one more Q, does the Expansion's assassination video's differ from the main game's? for instant the Apachean tribe's assassin looks very different..... just a thought.
