View Full Version : Ps3 Vs 360
Wow, ps3 is so great! It is as if you where actually "in" the gameplay. Xbox360 seems ok but is not as great, in my opinion.
One thing though: As I was playing it, I felt an empty space, then I realiced there was no rumble feature. That was disapointing.

My sarcasm detector seems broken...
I was under the impression the 360's graphics actually look a bit better at the moment. The PS3 is far too hard to program for effectively.
All moot though. Not going to get a PS3 for love or money, particularly in Europe (foolish Sony, foolish). Therefore 360 wins hands down.
It's all about the Wii though. It'll win in the long term. It's just so much cheaper to make games for (like an order of magnitude less), no studio would bother with the 360 or PS3 if they can just sell it on the Wii. What'd be the point? You're not going to sell them for 10 times as much or 10 times as many on a PS3.
If anyone has a HDTV set, this (http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=4971) might be of interest...
Wii may not be a good idea. Yes they have standard revolutionary controler, yes its original, yes you will have much food playing simple games, yes you will enjoy mindless fun in many of those games..BUT more time it takes to program the Wii games than to make PS3 or 360. That means that games will be limited and not many will be released. It make a great family time console, but not a hardcore gaming device.
All Hail the PS3!

How'd you work that one out? The Wii is currently much easier and faster to program for, and surveys of developers indicate it is the prefered development platform out of the new consoles.
I think PA skewer the current PS3 situation. (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2006/11/17) The news post (http://www.penny-arcade.com/2006/11/17) is very good as well.

Yes, it's similar to the Gamecube (which a lot already have experience with), and it doesn't need HD content. That costs a fortune to implement and doesn't add anything to the game.
PS3 is horrific to program for. No one has experience with the cell processor. PS3 will probably have very few games released (at $10m+ a go, you'll have to be VERY confident it will sell), whilst the Wii will have loads.
Can't comment yet :shame:
Don't think the PS3 is interesting for me untill MGS4 hits it, although resistance looks seriously interesting

How about the PS2 versus the PS3? There are a billion times as many games for 2 than 3, half of the PS3's launch titles can be played on the PS2, and the PS2 costs a fraction of that of a PS3 - when you can get them.
Are you a Sony rep, by any chance? ~

Personally, I know I'm going to get far more use out of my Nintendo Wii than my Xbox 360. Yeah, Gears of War was pretty rockin', and I'm looking foreward to Halo 2... but, the Wii is just fun.
Bit worried about the ps3, if the chief papa playstation gets fired, then something must be very very wrong. Namco has stated that if they develope a game for the ps3 unique hardware, they have to sell 500.000 copy's just to get even?? This doesn't look very good for Sony, or it's god's wrath for their habit of overhyping pre-rendered junk.
