Anyone else find it annoying when you get the message that one of your captains/generals has deserted you, but there's no little magnifying glass or any way of seeing who/where he was?

I don't know if it's because of some game mechanic: he may have moved already, merged with another army, fought a battle or whatever; but just knowing the general area where one of your armies buggered off would be useful...

I had the same problem in RTW. Probably just something overlooked by CA.
The only help I can offer is to look for a general with the 'wrong' name.
eg. If you're England and the French turn up with John Plantagenet (or Clive Wirrel-biscuit Smith)...

But it's a biiiiig map to look for that.

Be sure to post this in the Patch Wishlist thread stickied in this forum. There are a number of missing or annoying user interface bits that were missed, overlooked, or left out in this game. Hopefully CA can get those in the next patch cycle.

Good point there, was wondering where my diplomat went to..

No matter though, I'm sure my spies and assassins 'll flush him out soon enough, he can't have gone that far.
