Twilight princes gets an press average of 9.7 That is almost as high as Ocarina of Time, and that game really had cutting edge graphics for it's time, while the Twilight Princess is basicly a gamecube game with added Wii functionality. My Wii little baby comes with it's killer app attached, that is excellent. Now I really cannot wait, any of you maniacs have the thing already? Here in euroland we will have to do with your observations for now, any lucky :furious3: ?

It's out ? For the gamecube ?

That's good news, was keeping track of it some time ago but they were never clear on the release date. Can't wait 'till it hits the stores in Holland.

I wasnt about to camp out for one, but I did look around early Sunday morning for a Wii.... they were all gone everywhere. I've called around since as well and there's none to be found anywhere. :shame:

Supposedly some will be available Friday, but that's the biggest shopping day of the year- so I wouldnt like my chances of getting on then either, even if I do decide to battle the crowds to look for one. Too bad really, from what I've heard it's a load of fun to play.

Did you manage to pre-order one Frag?

I'm as giddy as a school-girl about this. The problem is, I know it can't beat being an excited 10 year old kid waking up at 5 AM on Christmas day to play OoT, no matter how awesome is.

All the same, very excited.

Too bad it's pretty much the only (exclusive) title on the GameCube/Wii that interests me, mainly to see if the 3D Zelda's can live up to the hype. I can't buy a console just to play one game

Well maybe the GameCube will be sold for 20€ in a few months, then I'd reconsider :laugh4:

I totally lucked out and managed to get a Wii. On my 3hr return drive from Thanksgiving, my wife and I stopped at a shopping center just off the Interstate. On a whim, I went into a Gamestop and they had 1 Wii left... the manager said he was glad to be rid of it because "People are crazy" and he warned me to be careful taking it out to my car. :laugh4:

Anyhow, it came with Wii sports, and I also bought Zelda and Raving Rabbids. The first night, I just had fun with Wii sports and Altered Beast, which I downloaded from the virtual console. However, the next day I popped in Zelda and so far it's freakin amazing. The last console game I remember holding my interest this well was Eternal Darkness. I even enjoyed the "tutorial" village area- the visuals look great, the controls are completely intuitive and the gameplay is excellent. I remember hearing some reviewers whining about having to read everything in text instead of voice acting, but the story is so well told that I dont even notice. Awesome stuff. :2thumbsup:

Now that I got a console, apparently my next trial will be finding a second Wiimote... I love how they were everywhere when I didn't have a system, but now that I do every store I can think of is sold out. I shoulda just bought one ahead of time. :wall:

GameSpot handed it an 8.8, and the fanboys immediately went wild on their forums, or so I've heard...

Strange score, though, for a Zelda game. And the review was very... stale. Didn't really teach me a lot at all about the game. So, perhaps it was warranted?

It gets a press average of 9,7 which is rediculously high, maybe gamespot didn't get enough exclusive coverage.

Undoubtedly, they got the money late and the game later ~;)

The GameSpot reviewer just hates the WiiMote, he loved the game itself.

If true, the guy is a dolt. I find the controls in Zelda to be completely intuitive. Aiming your boomerang/slingshot by using the Wiimote couldn't be easier and performing attacks via flick of the wrist quickly becomes second nature.

Has anyone tried Red Steel?

I can't imagine what you'd have to be doing to not only loose your grip on the Wiimote, but to actually launch it hard enough to break the wrist strap and still have enough momentum to fracture a TV screen...

If you manage to do that, you deserve what you get. :laugh4:

Has anyone tried Red Steel?Originally, that was one of my most anticipated launch titles. But, I heard enough bad press about the game to make me reconsider- there are alot of complaints about awkward controls and the sword fighting being just plain bad. OTOH, fans of the game said the controls aren't bad at all- the game just has a steep learning curve.

I still hope it's a good game, but before I invest another $50 in a Wii game I may want to see if I can rent it first.
