Atmosphere completely ruined by the typical ultra sleek hair-style, smooth skin general/main character that is the hallmark of just about every Japanese style game. Just Dynasty Wars set in Europe isn't it?

Why would anyone want this, if one could just as well get Medieval 2, which, IMO looks a lot better.

Maybe it doesn't actually take place in Europe, and the title is just coincidence? (Yeah I know, not really, but I can't think of another explanation for the Elvish/Anime-looking units.) :shrug:

The first picture gives a clear view of the word "England". That would be one clue.

The type of game looks to be a cross between a tactical game like RTW combined with action/beat-em-up elements of Dynasty Warriors (re: "1229 K.O.")

It is indeed apparently a Dynasty Warriors/Kessen like affair set during the Hundred Years' War. Hardly competition for TW, it's likely to be a completely different game (perhaps there are strategy elements like Kingdom Under Fire series, I don't know) with a completely different attitude.

I can't imagine realism or simulating what actually happened is a priority, they just like using an existing time-period, location and characters to build off, so we get things like the Black Prince as a dark-haired Sephiroth. You wouldn't look to it for any kind of military simulation or anything, but I agree it could be a good game.

Well the game is from the Dynasty Warriors developer Omega Force, so you can bet it'll be a similar affair. Here's a little preview from Gamespot with some initial info.

... but an entertaining genre, nevertheless. I'll let our Eastern brethren stick with China and Japan, though, when it concerns the artwork and outlook. ~;)

I couldn't agree more there.

I don't buy those sorts of games with the quintessential good looking hero. They are always a sign of a cheap game.

Looks like an updated version of Kingodm Under Fire - Heroes/Crusade to me.

It featured medieval style fantasy combat ala Dynasty warriors.

Well worth picking up Xbox owners :2thumbsup:
