View Full Version : How Come Danes Just Stand There?
Hello,
First of all, I love this game, and have loved all of them since MTW. The problem I am having is this:
I am the English as my first campaign. My first war after conquering the British Isles is with the Dutch. I have had a couple big full stack battles with them. I have noticed though that more often then not they seem to just stand there and let me tear them to pieces with longbowmen and catapults. Why is that? I am playing on medium. fI go to hard or very hard battles will the enemies attack me?
No - raising the difficulty level won't help. Exactly the same thing has happened to me (repeatedly) on VH/VH. I think it may be the "passive AI bug", although I have yet to see that bug clearly defined. It's a real problem for England, as that faction lives or dies by its missiles - many other factions may be could overcome it by just going light on missiles.
It's the biggest single thing I'd like to see fixed in the patch. CA have said they will fix the passive AI bug in the patch, but whether they mean what we are reporting, I don't know. I can just hope.
Yeah, if the AI just stands there within range of archer and artillery fire is because of the passive AI bug.
The patch will fix it and the patch should come out sometime this week I think

That would be excellent. Thanks for the update.

Just easy there, remember I said "I think":laugh4: .
My sense of time has been screwed up lately but wasn't it 2 weeks ago we heard about the patch going into testing ??

Yes, you are correct. According to posts by the developers the patch should still be in the first week of testing right now. If all goes according to plan we should see it sometime during the week of December 4th.
