Is it as good as the rest of his games? I might consider getting it if it is, because I like his easily playable style.

I heard it was a bit of a simpler version of the previous Railroad/Transport Tycoon games. With the massive number of mods available for TTDX, and the depth that seems to go on forever, it's hard to be tempted away from that in my opinion.

Neither him nor Chris Sawyer have managed to improve things that much with their new games over the old ones, all things considered.

I played the demo and wouldn't recommend the game. The train AI is horrible, there are numerous clipping and other grpahical issues and I just didn't think it was that fun :shrug:

it recieved a high rating with all the reviewers... and it cant be that bad.

Gets 77/100 on Metacritic, although the stupid and pointless Times Online review gives it 100% which messes up the average a bit. More telling is the user reviews giving it an average 5.1/10.
