A Few Questions

Alright, now I have the game started, I have a few questions:

1. why do i always get a CTD whenever I try to play the prologue??

2. why can't I play any of the historcal battles except for magnesia? (yes I have installed it :beam: ) is it just like RTR where you can't play any of the historical battles since its been modified?? (and yes I have played RTR before, but I thought EB was even more accurate:yes: )

3. why does the game seem almost incomplete?? there are so many missing unit cards of texts!!

4. and last of all, what is the current version EB is running on?? why are they all BETAs?? no standard version??

1 and 2: EB does not use the -mod switch for the install. This means that it currently installs and replaces the data used by RTW vanilla and thus leading to CTDs whenever you access the Prologue or historical battles. For 0.8, the -mod switch will be used so that depending on what shortcut you use, you can play EB, RTW vanilla, or any other mod you choose from the same install folder.

3: It's a Beta. Betas are better than Alphas, but still incomplete; that is simply their nature.

4: EB 1.0 is still far away. Currently the public version is 0.74.x running on RTW 1.2. The private version that is undergoing extensive testing for public release is 0.79.x on RTW 1.5. When the latter hits 0.8 it will be released.

in the current version i'd recommend you play as the aedui or koinne hellenon.

they are both very complete factions, theres pretty much no missing unit cards or descriptions for them.

there arnet a lot of modifications that allow the 'quick battle' and 'historical battle' options to work. this is because they are pre-set to use default RTW conditions and the mods dont use those anymore. same thing for the prologue, but i dont see why you would want to play that anyway.
