Has anyone else got this message:

Reinforcements has been delayed. Your computer cannot handle this, you must upgrade your computer(not exactly the message but close).

It seems like the game has a builtin protection against low framrates. I have set everything on max(even shadows), huge settings, and in every battle i keep over 30 frames/s until i attacked a city with one full stack, and 1 full stack as reinforcements(defenders). I attacked with 2 full stacks. The game just locked out the enemy reinforcements. I won the battle, but felt robbed for a gigantic 4 stack battle. Sucks!

The question is, what part of my system is not good enough?

I have a Core 2 E6600 clocked to 3 Ghz, 2Gb of PC 8500 memory running at 834Mhz, and a ATI 850 XT graphics card. The only thing i can upgrade is the video card, and i am gonna upgrade it when the ATI R600 chip based cards is ready.

Does anybody with a top of the line, ATI 1950XTX or Nvidia 7950GTX, 8800GTX, cards tried a 4 stack battle with everything on max?

I've noticed the same message and felt frustrated (after all that pre-battle planning :wall: ) - but after reducing some part of the opposition, AI reinforcements finally showed up!

It is probably a bug? I received the same and questioned myself what pc I should have bought instead (I have a C2D 6600 with GF 7950 GX2 and 2 MB RAM).

In my case reinforcements arrived later also but I blamed that to the greater distance they have had on the campaign map.

Thanks. Then it's not a hardware issue. When you get that message with a top of line video card, it can't be anything else than a bug.

Yeah but thats still a sorry set up you have if its the video card I'm thinking it is, I'm surprised you can run the game at all at anything over medium. I run Nvidia 7800 BFG at high/very high and I only notice a drop in FPS when defending cities but I'm pretty sure its a bottle necking issue with my CPU. Never seen that message though, but sounds funny.

I have a C2D 6600 with GF 7950 GX2 and 2 MB RAMDunno how you managed to get anything to run on that but clearly the RAM is the issue :p

Turn of shadows in the prefs, its on by default and causes major lag.

Worked like a charm for me.

You just need to set a 1 for unlimited men on battlefield in your preferences cfg file. Root of game directory.

yes, it's not running any kind of check on the specs of your rig, it's just capping the number of men because of that entry in the preferences file

fix that like the guy said and you won't have that message pop-up any more

I get the same message but my rig is less then 2 months old and is stacked.

2.66mhz dual core
512mb 8800oc Nvidia
4gigs Balistix ram

and anything over 3 stacks, or 2 with a city gets the same message that the PC can't handle it. Just for giggles I tried out, on large settings, a custom battle involving 6 armies on the field and it ran like a dream with high resolution and high details etc.

nm, saw explantion above, sorry

I play with the "unlimited men on battlefield" setting for a while now and never had any problems... so just set that "1" in the .cfg when you have a good enough PC!

My PC:
2x3Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
3,5 GB RAM
GeForce 8600 GTS
