No end Date

How can I extend the game not to end on the end date. I would like to continue play past the end date. Is this possible and if so how do I go about it?

At the end you should recieve a message that asks you if you would like to keep playing. Just hit the check mark button.

Isn't there any date where the game ends without option to continue? If you can just keep playing, can you in theory play until, say the 1900's?
