Spy Event Movies [Archive]

I clicked off spy event movies thinking that it was limited to one campaign but it turns out it is a global thing. I'd like to get them back but I can't find the option anywhere, anyone know how to do it?

In the medieval2.preference.cfg you'll find several references to ingame movies under [video]

You are looking for theese:
assassination_movies = 1
...
event_movies = 1
...
infiltration_movies = 1
...
sabotage_movies = 1

I'm having the same problem, but the file needing to be changed is a cfg file and I don't have program capable of altering it. What program do you use, or is there some blindingly obvious solution that I have overlooked?

The easier way to fix this is to go spy on someone, and uncheck the box when it gives you the success/failure mission.

I've heard that before, and I've looked in every menu and every memo in-game for this mythical 'uncheck the box' option. Still can't find it. Modding the file was alot easier than clicking a button that doesn't exist :clown:
