Occultus and Saka Rauka

Lately I have been seeing many people with usebars that say 'Saka Rauka' and 'Occultus'. I know that one of the three new 0.8 factions is Lusotannan, are these the other two?

"Occultus" means "secret" or "hidden". It is not the name of the new faction.

Thanks-but I have some questions about ethnicities. I saw one of the Saka Rauka ethnicities was royal blood, so I'm wondering if you can marry two of the people in your family together?

P.S.-do all factions have ethnicities?

Unlike MTW and MTW2, all the women in the RTW system are non-characters, and as such cannot gain traits. Thus a women can never gain an ethnicity and so the possibility of marrying two people with the same ethnicity is nulled.

And yes, all factions will have ethnicities with varying degrees of completion.

Do the Roman "ethnicities" reflect class differences instead, or have allied and colonial ethnicities added as well?

Yes a marriage can occur between the female family member (ie appearing on the family tree) and a suitor who shares the same ethnicity as the woman's father (and thus supposedly the same ethnicity as her). However this doesn't necessarily mean its a cousin, as the game doesn't deal with things like that outside of the family tree, and as suitors can never be derived from the family tree the relationship between a female family member and a male suitor can be whatever you wish it to be.

Is there any speculation as to the identity of the new faction, or a date when 0.8 will be released?

There has been countless speculation about the mystery faction. I think there was even a thread with a poll a while back (just fans guessing), I think the most common guess was a Arabian faction, but the EB team isn't talking...

The roman ethnicities in 0.8 will be placeholders and I'm not sure how they will reflect the roman situation. A lot of background work has gone into a far more indepth list of ethnicities, but I'm not sure on the final decision on that. I'll ask someone from the roman thread to give an overview if they can.
