Hello:beam: I was wondering if you could help me with a link or a post to explain all the historical battle winning games . (Some time its becomming a drag, to over do the same battle and always lose .)
in MTTW I had downloaded a complete video clip of all the battles and it was nice to have it.
may thanks

Well, I dinna saved it, but I won a historically lost battle.
Some say, that it was the dirtiest, ugliest, bloodiest battle of mankind. They say that there was a small creek in the middle of the battlefield, which afterwards washed away whole corpses and the water was red with blood, the current running strong.
It is the battle of Catalaunum. Historically, there were no winner in this battle, both sides lose, or right out suffered...
Well, at the start of the battle, Attila charged up the small hill you can find in the middle of the field too, so he can have the highest ground... But it is far more easier if you back up, set up your infantry line (I used shiltroms, they can stand incredibly firm and hold their ground) at the edge of the hill in the back.
I hid many many lancers and melee light cavalry in the woods on the left, in the valley. The archer cavalry was out on the field, scattered, waiting for the enemy.
Then they came, and I managed to divide their army into two parts, one marching right across the field towards Attila, the infantry line and a few heavy cavalry at their back. The other part was bogged down, following the horse archers wherever they lured them.
Whenever they showed their back, the hidden cavalry charged them from behind, from the woods. The archers meanwhile shot whatever they could (firing from turbulent circles, so no pilum would hit them).
At this point, the first part reached Attila's group, but they were caught up on the infantry hedge, so there they stopped. An ideal target for a nice heavy cavalry charge. Thus they routed.
Then the second part came as well, they were seriously narrowed in numbers and were easier to rout, too.
Well, what can I say. Attila was wrong? No, my lads. Creative Assembly set up an un-historical battle - the game has limits allright, but this battle was too easy to win.
