In honor of the previous thread for those on facebook, who all here is on Myspace? I am and I was just curious who else on here is. The nice thing about myspace is that you don't have to be in college to be on it, unlike facebook (even though I'm sill in college). Anyway, let us know:2thumbsup:

I suppose you missed this (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=68189), the Frontroom's earlier verdict on this social phenomenon?
To summarise:
From positive...
It seems like a way for children and youngsters to engage in intercourse.
Well it's a fertile hunting ground for sexual predators.
to more positives...
Personally, I hate the thing.
I don't get it either. Actually I am a little uncomfortable with the whole thing.
Big bunch of junk.
and...
My eyes bleed after looking at some of the page layouts.

Despite SSNeoperestroika's erudite compilation of org thoughts on MySpace (which I don't dispute, BTW), I admit to having a MySpace page, where I can view my soldier-in-Iraq son's page - including his last login date. It lets me and mine know that he's still alive. A highly valuable bit of info.
I told him to not worry about having something to say, just log in on one of those PX computers they have available there (seeemingly everywhere). He's done that, and I (and the women in his life) appreciate it.
That said, the rest of MySpace stuff seems extremely silly.

Lol, well I feel pretty smart now......mods if you want to delete this thread go ahead.lol. No need to be discouraged. We at the org here can be pretty vehemently anti...mainstream Internet culture at times, for a lack of better descriptions.
I suspect only a few of us ever grace our presence in 4chan, for example. And you can be sure just about everyone here agrees that 1331-language is the worst thing since Adolf Hitler.
I suppose Myspace can be fun or useful to people, but I couldn't bother to set up one, for some reason.

Facebook is now open to everyone as long as you have a valid e-mail.
