Are you considering creating more horses with different skins? I just find vanilla's too plain. What about saddles, I think some nomadic peoples used them during this period, is it true? Are you going to make any saddled horse models?

Yes, many peoples (gauls and nomands) used four point saddles during EB timeline.

You should be happy with what you will find in v.08, I think. :2thumbsup:

I just decided to post because I saw quite some horses without saddles, in fact, I saw only one with it.

Out of curiosity, is the name "Pinarius" involved to any degree ?
Guess you'll have to check the credits...

When did the Romans develop that 4 pronged war saddle of thiers? That would be a neet thing to see in the game too.

Four horned saddles appear in roman art, depicting their cavalry, in augustan times, but some of their auxiliaries used it before. You will find this setting in EB too, if nothing goes wrong since these days are a bit hectic.

AFAIK it was the Celts who developed the four-horned saddle; the Romans merely copied it.

Well from what I understand that is what they were good at, copying things that worked well, so it would make sence.

Anyone happen to know if the Celts came up with it themselves, or if they picked it up somewhere else too ? Those ever-pesky steppe nomads would presumably be a strong candidate, as they tended to be good at coming up with useful horse-related inventions for fairly understandable reasons.
