Hey folks,

I can't wait for patches to show up for this game ASAP. First Off.
Some AI and other stuff is just WRONG. Period.

Second, I just finished my campaign as Sicily on Medium Difficulty and was in a stalemate again. I say "again" because I played as the Byz. Empire and was in another stalemate and I also played as Scotland, same situation.

One funny incident, As Sicliy I sacked Rome and was excommunicated.
At first I had the Pope's army figure on the campaign map after me, then after beating him down like a chump, I had the actually Pope or Popes fight against me with a Pope figure on the campaign map. The Popes got beat down too! :beam:

One thing that stinks is that the L.E. map I got has NO city names on it and I have to add them to the map vai this forum's links!

hellas1- I wish the Papal States could be eradicated in game...... :beam:

Maybe try an easier setting if they turn into stalemates. Though I hardly see how anything can be a stalemate, eventually somethings got to give.

Pope can be killed but you can't kill off the papacy, they'll just migrate to another province. Quite a good thing really. I certainly wouldnt want to see a killable papacy, unless all the catholic factions are dead.

Anyone played a game as a muslim faction and killed all crhistian factions? I really wonder waht happens with pope in that case...

what do you mean you are in a stalemate?

quin if you wiped out all catholic factions you wouldnt know what happened to the pope - as a non catholic faction you have very little interaction with him. it would be surprising if you heard of a crusade again though

By stalemate he means that although he can't lose, he can't win either. That is to say, with his forces/economy/neighbours the way they are, if he moves one way he opens himself on the other side.

Right, my campaign finishes without my having met all the criterion to win.

tough, for me anyway!
