Useful assassin tip!?

I've stumbled upon this tip in another forum and I wonder, does it work? Because if it does, this game (together with cavalry charges better and easier if experienced) is way deeper as it has first looked

When attacking with assassins - always move and strike in the same turn and make sure that your assault starts from outside the visual range of the victim or it's spies - this way you may double your chances for a kill.

I have a combination of having a spy near the target, AND having the Assassin move in from outside of the sight range works better.:sneaky:

Sounds interesting ... but how do you know where is visible to the victims faction? Or is it just the victim and if so how can you tell where they can see?

It sounds difficult to keep tabs on the target that way, but it does make sense though.
