Hadn't you reached the limit in 0.74 already?

Given that the old vanilla Eastern standard-bearers and musicians were still hanging around the .74 DMB, I'd say they haven't.

And a few might have been edited out from 0.7.4. Yuetzhi units for example.

Although there are lots of new units in 0.8, we haven't reached the unit limit yet. In fact, we are a bit more tight in the model entries limit than in the units limit. But the spreading and sharing of units across models has been planned since before the first internal releases of EB and there is no danger of running out of model entry and unit space before we have most of our planned units in.

In fact there are so many new units that I often stumble across pictures in the forum (especially lately with UI work being done) and think "Wow, I forgot that unit was done, man they look awesome..."
Holy Megan Mullally, I can't wait anymore, I'm bursting at the seems!

how many model slots do we still have in 0.8? please tell me that there are at least 47 model slots in DMB.... and at least 80 unit entry slots in EDU....Why? Because you need to put ITW's models in? Well, if I was in your shoes I really wouln't bother, but then, I'm not...
BTW, what will you do when EB 1.0 has 0 models and unit slots left?
Free model slots? I don't think we have that many, no.

of course i already discarded the option of putting ITW in, don't need to, EB ones are way better... its for all the others i already have in my 0.74 build from a great amount of assorted mods... some of the 47 are replacements to some of the ones in EB, like bearers, centurions, generals, and other officers...the officers are 7 diferent models wich reduce the count to roughly 40 models... and i think i can reduce the things to 20 or a bit more if i take out some unneeded things...like civilians in cities, and siege officers and engeneers...but if i can keep everything i would love it...if i can't i will have to live with it... if i can't add anything else than that's a good thing, cuz it means that EB is even more complete and doesn't need my efforts to make it more varied....
when 1.0 comes out i won't feel the need to fill the rosters a bit more, as most factions will have plenty of choice=) i only added more units to several factions to bolster the unit variety on the battlefield and the choices i can make when making an army...something that isn't bad in 0.74, but i wanted more....
On a complete tangent, I am very curious - is "rooster" a word in the Portuguese or Spanish languages? IIRC, one of our Iberian folks uses it for "roster" as well.
In English "roster" is a list of units, especially in the military or sports, where "rooster" is a male chicken. The pronunciation is quite different as well.
No disrespect intended, I'm just curious about the vagaries of language translation, and especially that from Iberia. I've noticed "fraction" being used instead of "faction" as well, again two very different meanings.
Just curious, feel free to ignore me...

Those are both spelling errors, nothing related to our language, though.

it was a typo... sorry i do know it is spelled roster...its just that im posting from a pc that ain't mine..and so i must writte fast.... as for fraction.. i guess its also a typo...although faction and fraction in portuguese are quite similar and have some related meanings... as for the reason why some portuguese folk may write badly, and spell words incorrectly..i must blame it on the educational system, and the lack of stimulation... often kids after having 7 to 8 years of english classes can't speak or read slowly, much less fluently in english... many of them i ask myself how they made it so far and not flunking... but well some of us actually learn the british language, and are able to make it their second language, even if we sometimes make typos....
im in university...been here for almost 5 years, and every year the quality of english kids bring to university is getting worse... to the point that this year the english texts of many of the classes are not claimed for study and work... kids nowadays here prefer badly done, and unorthodox translations to portuguese to the real thing... sad if you ask me... another sign of our increasingly decadent and ignorant society...=(((((
sad...kinda reminds me of my school (and myself:sweatdrop: )

A word roster in spanish? No, there`s no meaning of that word, in spanish at least. What`s close is "rostizado", that`s roasted in eng...
*hmmm, a slow roasted lamb now would doo some good... :barrel:
