Played as the scipii, had taken most of eastern Med and some in the west. Now the time came for civil war.

Remember, this is easy setting. I have lots of income and lots of full stack armies.

Sow how do i win the civil war in the shortest amount of time from the start of the civil war to the end. Simple, i moved all my armies into striking distance from every other roman family city and when all armies were in place i attacked. After 2 turns i had all cities in Africa taken, captured most of Italy save Rome that i wanted to save for last, blockaded Marseilles and took all other Julii towns in Europe. 4 turns later i went after Rome. The senate met me on the battlefield and the next turn the game ended with me taking the capital

Nothing new to me, that´s one of my gripes with RTW, the civil war starts way too late in the game to be a challenge - as a matter of fact, it was always I who had to initiate it myself. I never got outlawed just for being feared and hated by the Senate

Well, it proves me right: When you want something done, you have to do it yourself.

The thing is, unless you've stayed away from the forums and/or it's your first go at the Roman campaign, you'll know the civil war is coming and will prepare for it. The AI Romans never suspect a thing until it occurs, so they don't react to you suddenly parking thousands of troops near them with the intent to murder them all. It's a massive unfair advantage really to go with the other disadvantage Mr. AI has against you. If you want a decent civil war, you have to let the other Romans build up their empire and leave Rome alone for a while.
