World Domination Message

I am in turn 149 of my campaign and I just received a message that said "the Turks have Achieved World Domination." Then it said, "if you have any grand plans for conquering the known world, you had better put them in motion."... or something like that.

Has anybody else gotten this message or something like it?

My bet would be that you are playing a short campaign and the Turks are getting close to victory. It is not that uncommon for an AI faction to get close to 15 territories if you are playing slowly.

So wait a minute...the Campaign doesn't end if they get 15 does it?

Yes, I recently got mine telling me the Spanish were dominating the world and 2 turns later the Portuguese are gone, France is gone, and the English empire is (Im the Scots and the English have been booted to the mainland) under serious threat by the Spanish whose navy and armies are everywhere:dizzy2:.The funny thing is that the Danes seem to be besting the Spainards in just about every catagory yet no wolrd domination notification yet.

Does the campaign end if either you or another player reaches your objective, or have they kept the ability to play on?

If an AI faction reaches the 15 or 45 province objective before you, they win, and you lose. But you can still keep playing, you just can't win, so the campaign won't end.

Ah, good.

I don't care about the game telling me i've won; i can figure that out for myself.

At the rate i'm going the only way i'll make my target is with a lot of luck and a strike force landing off the coast of Jerusalem ;)
