Ok, it might not be 100% historical and other players may not be interested in it but I really miss the possibility of changing the faction religion from BI and the really nice and detailed religion breakout screen that was in there.
I really think that it would have been a really nice addition to MTW2 and would have opened some really interesting gameplay scenarios in my opinion...
Imagine having the danes going back to paganism (of course that would mean excommunication, massive happiness hits as churches would be torn down and different religion in the population would also influence that plus maybe having the most pious generals revolting and all priests turning automatically under papal states) or in a more historical fashion the bizantines converting to catholicism in order to ease one war front (same consequences, with priests turning heretical)...
Of course this can be modeled to be not an easy thing to change, with limitations like being able to swap only once per king and only if the aforementioned king has low piety so that it won't be abused (not too likely with the penalties stated before).
What do you think, wouldn't this be absolutely great for an expansion?
