Tired of paying 2k-5k florins a turn just to improve diplomatic relations with neighbors, I wondered if perhaps diplomats and princesses could have a "conversion" effect just like priests do, but instead of converting people to their religion, they should increase the relationships between countries. So for example suppose I'm playing Byzantium and I have a diplomat walking about in Milanese territory. When the turn ends my relations with Milan will go up slightly based on the skill of my diplomat. This would make diplomats and princesses a little more useful, as right now once I have secured trade rights and sold map info to a faction there's no real use left for them. It would also be nice to be able to marry princesses off to foreign suitors other than faction heirs. The effects would be weaker than marriage to an heir, but at least there would be more openings avaliable. Right now it's quite difficult to marry them off at all.
