Today we celebrate 89th year of independency of our Republic. In Finnish the term is Itsenäisyys päivä(independence day) or like many of us humorously say Itsepäisyys päivä (stubbornes day). Cheers to all my country men,women already departed and alive and to Finland.:medievalcheers:

Thanks guys!~:cheers: I think most of my countrymen are in terrible hangover at the moment or watching Edwin Laine´s Tuntematon Sotilas(Unknown soldier) a WWII movie which is aired on every independence day. Im myself listening to Sibeliu´s hymn, Finlandia and drinking Panama Jack rum that my sister brought me from Panama after she was holiday in there. So the feeling at the moment is both pompous and ridiculous as im drinking rum in the middle of the week in a middle of a day,becouse of the National Holiday. I think i will post a picture from Finland with each reply here today so others can atleast get some vague idea whats that little country like at far away in the North:

Sadly, the pic doesn't quite do justice for the moment. Here (http://koti.mbnet.fi/makealho/meri/IMG_0920.jpg)'s a larger version. It was just magnifient to be there, with a sun made of pure gold illuminating everything in golden light and a blue rain shower on right coming straight at us, engulfing island after island in its blue veil of rain. Then there was a full, double rainbow over the island just when the first drop began to hit. Just... beautiful.
