View Full Version : Questions concerning reforms *SPOILERS*
So I noticed the new "Camillan Military Era" and "Time of freemen" resources in towns and I was wondering how the reforms work in EB 0.8. Have the dynamic reforms been implemented or are there set dates? I've been trying to find some info in the data files but haven't come up with anything, so could you please explain how it works? On a somewhat related topic I also wonder if anything has been changed about the Triumphus?
Thanks in advance.
The faq has been updated including the new dates and settings for Reforms.

There may be some squirreliness with the reform implementation that we hope to fix in an upcoming patch. This is something where we are very interested in hearing from the beta-testers (ie, you) to provide us with feedback. To my knowledge the scripts are fine, but the associated buildings may cause some goofiness in certain regions. (Again, may - this isn't a definite.) I'm particularly curious about your experiences with Arverni or Aedui in Romani lands, or vice versa. If you find yourself with the capability to recruit Augustan troops in northern Gaul, please pipe up ASAP. (Not that you necessarily can, but if something odd like that happens send it to the Bug forum post-haste.)
Thanks folks!

Reforms have been working fine in the latest internal builds before the release after some initial tweaking. Blacksnail is right, there may be some odd things here and there and if there relating to the buildings.
As far as the reforms themselves, yes, they are dynamic and have a few hotly debated requirements that everyone agrees portray the social and economic conditions required for them to take place.
Maybe this isn't the place for it and I should post a new thread in the bug report forum, but I thought that since this thread is already here I'd post a problem I've been having with reforms in my roman campaign.
The problem is that the Polybian reforms aren't happening for me, even though I posses all the six provinces of which apparentlyonly four should be neccessary. Its about year 250 something, so maybe there is a minimum year limit?
Thanks in advance!

Indeed, I forgot to add it in the FAQ. You can't get Polybian reforms before 242BC. Bonny, can you update the FAQ?
