Rome Total Enjoyment Message Board (http://rtenjoyment.proboards80.com/index.cgi) has it all! It even has an entire section devoted to politics! The Org is one of the best places I have ever been, and I'll never stop coming here, but if you want a little more, come and join us!
We would be glad to get new members who just want to talk, or maybe are interested in PBEM. We have new Mod positions open, and are welcoming everyone!!
(To the mods. This sub-forum said "Talk about anything", so I assumed this would be ok to post. If I am wrong, I am sorry. :laugh4: Just stifle my freespeech by closing it :laugh4: ;) jj)

Lol, no! Not at all. As I said, The Org is my favorite message board. I am not asking people to leave it. I am just trying to get people to come to RTE board. It is a cool board, and it has all levels of discussion. The fact that RTE relies on the Org, makes it impossible to start a forum war. I am just saying, if you'd like to meet new people, or just talk about stuff you can't here, come to RTE.

I only make mods out of people I can trust. For instance, people on my team that I have worked with, exmods of org, etc...
Many people visit other sites in addition to the Org, this would be one where they could talk with a little less censoreship (don't get me wrong, I don't think there is anything wrong with the Org's censorship as it is for people of all ages.), or if they would just like to talk with some new people.
It is really a great place.

I'm not sure if it's true, but i know for a fact that most people consider it very impolite to advertise your forum on another person's forum.

You're overreacting. Three members have pointed out so far, that your commercial for your own forum, may be considered impolite. This is because on most messageboards it is considered inappropriate to advertise another board, especially one dealing in the same subject matter. Rather like me going into a rival pub with a menu inviting the locals over to my pub. Make sense?

There is a difference however, Caravel; people going to me board is not going to be competition for the ORG. I am advertising my MOD: I hope by getting people talking on the RTE boards, I can attract some new talent and get people interested in my MOD. Just as other people advertise their MOD, and the forums to their MOD, that is all I'm doing...I'm just being more creative :D.
Well I understand what you're saying but your original post does not come across in that fashion. You mention nothing about the mod, nore so you actually promote your board as a kind of alternative. Maybe you didn't intend it to come across like that, but that is how it appears.
Anyway there is no need for me to reiterate over and over. I'm done. ~;)
