AI doesn't treat?

i found alot of AI princesses and diplomat doing the offering treaty move at my king but no dialog opens... they can't be trying to bribe my king can they? so WTF are they doing? :inquisitive:

or are they having final thought since my relations with them is poor? so will the AI never treat with poor relationship? :whip:

afaik, they are either trying to bribe (diplomats) or marry your generals (princesses)

I think it needs reworking really. Those diplomats/princesses stand around your town forever until you bump em out of the way, talk to them using a diplomat/princess or assassinate them. They go through the treaty animation every single turn which takes quite a lot of time if you have several from different factions "besieging" your towns.
And princesses also were doing the advance on a castle of mine which had no general inside, and since princesses cannot bribe last i checked, that seems rather pointless.
Also, since the AI is usually bankrupt, I doubt they could possibly bribe a city away from me (even I cannot with a lot of wealth)

I always have assassins to kill off unwanted guests. Since they are so impolite, they like to impose.

Maybe the answer is in the initial question - they are actually trick-or-treating at your castles! Your governors are obviously giving out way too much candy, so these folks just camp outside your gates every year, gorging on sweets and waiting for next Halloween!
