First off, I suspect you may be in the wrong Backroom (but perhaps not!)

This, the Watchtower Backroom is for discussion of controversial topics about the running of the .org. People mainly seem to post here to get guidance on a warning they have received from a moderator.

The Tavern Backroom is for discussion of controversial topics of almost all flavours. It is not for insulting other members or for illegal topics. Whilst posters may get heated in defending/proposing their views, the rule seems to be to address the views, not the poster.

My advice would be to spend some time lurking and reading how discussions, particularly the usual suspects, evolve and develop. Perhaps post your own views in a thread and see the response. After a while, you will feel confident to post your own thread.

Most useful advice is don't insult or otherwise demean camels.

Banquo's Ghost pretty much has the right of it, Spart. Just follow the threads for a while, and you'll get the hang of it.

I realize it was stupid to post what I did, all I meant to was to highlight that the increasing posting of silly smiley icons and pictures of cats around in threads arent considered spam, so what is?
