Having a whale of a time with the Picts mainly staving off Viking skirmishes. After being thoroughly drubbed as the Irish five or six times on Hard, this is the first real "fun" campaign.

How did the Picts get Highland Clansmen in Domon?

How do I get Domon back off those wretches , the Vikings?

From the opposite 'Viking' side, I can safely say that the nastiest reverses I ever suffered as the Vikings have been at the hands of the Picts (the Irish can give you the runaround, but cavalry sorts that out). Very good defensive provinces, lotsa crossbows and some hard hitting infantry make them a nasty proposition.
In my current (although somewhat 'shelved') Scots campaign, the Picts took aaaages to subdue as their berserkers repeatedly made mincemeat of my Highlanders. Good faction.
As with the Scots, it'd probably be easier if you allied with the Vikings and built a lot of ships to prevent them betraying and raiding you, but where's the fun in that???

How did the Picts get Highland Clansmen in Domon?
An error/oversight in the startpos file.

How do I get Domon back off those wretches , the Vikings?
Invade it and kick them out. First concentrate on building more fleets and sinking all of their's. Once they're isolated invade and finish them.

Pictish xbows are devastating against Huscarles!
They're armour piercing, so they are better than arrows when facing armoured opponents.
