Apparently, the patch is savegame compatible. I wonder what people are going to do: start a new campaign or finish off an old one?

It's a quandry for me, as my old campaign was left at turn 90 something. However, I am inclined to restart as I was playing as England and their longbows + the passive AI pre-patch makes me feel I did not really earn my victories.

Plus, thanks the reading up for the FAQ, I now understand a lot more about the game and this time can do things better (I particularly want to try to get diplomacy to work at VH/VH).

I'm gonna start a new campaign. I got tired of the English and this time I want to give Byzantium a chance. So, GO ROME! ~:)

Finish off.

My Sicilian campaign just got interesting, with the Frogs and Spaniards both backstabbing me on the same turn! Good news that its save game compatible. Im now looking forward to a weekend of non stop M2TW 1.1

Finish off.

Patch was very timely as I am trying to deal with the Timurids and autocalc gives horrible results.

Finish off. About to commence a nice campaign of raiding against Mongol cities in asia minor and the holy land. Should be interesting with up-gunned ai in place.

I'm going to restart, even though my campaign is 132 turns and I'm beating the Mongols.

I want to try out the new rules, and the only way to try them out correctly is with a grand campaign.

Well I'm at turn 176 I believe. I'd like to continue, because it's taken me a whole 2 weeks to get this far. Plus I have about 20 units with 3 gold chevrons. I would'nt mind building it up again but I'm worried I won't have the time to do another campaign, and I'd like to reach my objectives. I'm extremely tempted to start over though.

I am guilty of having several going on at once. Since the patch is save game compatible, play on.

I've only recently started a new VH/VH English campaign whereby I'm roll-playing all of my generals and I'm loving it ... so I'll continue with my current one, especially since I'm only on something like less than turn 50.

New campaign...

I love the start of the campaign... So many possiblities, so little red tape...

A new patch is simply a good excuse... :laugh4:

New campaign. I'd already done some minor modifications to the original, and plan this evening to transfer those over to the new version, plus add fixes for 2-handed and a few other things. Once that's its new campaign time...

I find the best part is right at the beginning when everything can be a challenge. Now at turn 176 I just can't wait for the Monghouls and Timids to show up. The PWNBBQ is all fired up.

If you're playing the Turks, there's a river crossing north of Mosul that's one of the best bottlenecks I've ever seen.

New campaign. What Mr. Off-his-rocker Bob said partially sums it up, always great to start anew. The other reason is because I shelved the campaign aspect of the game after a day or two due to bugs/balance issues. It's time to start over with a fresh perspective (and a custom forum fix or two), so let's see how this new one goes.:balloon2:

I'll probably dispatch a strike force to jerusalem to end my current english campaign and then start anew (probably with the HRE for added difficulty)

I want to finish my French Short camapaign, I'm on turn 80 something and the English have already gone and all I need are three more provinces. Want to unlock all the factions the normal way too.

After that I'm gonna start a clean campaign on VH/VH with the new patch.
