hi,
I used unpack and started to try to do some simple unit edit to start with.
I did a test, I try to add Dismounted_Gothic_Knights to French, the ui - ie unit card/infor -came out ok, I changed the export_descr_unit.txt file to add "france" to it, game loads ok, but on the battle field the soldiers didn't show up except the general himself. the fighting do happen though, the ememy just fight against a gosht opponent.
I tried to mod "battle_models.modeldb", I found the following part concerning the unit:

It is easy to tell the file structures, but I don't understand the numbers and others, could someone explain please?
also the textures, like "european_armoured_horse_venice.texture" - how do you or which program do you use to open them?
