When ever I try to load a map on civ IV I get an error message saying that the Ialmarnt5 display driver has failed. Everything then goes blurly. Is there anything I can do about this or do I need to upgrade?

It looks (http://www.eddieoneverything.com/windows-xp/how-to-fix-the-ialmrnt5-display-driver-error.php) as though (http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic20070.html) you aren't the first person (http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=58676) to have problems (http://www.besttechie.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=7402) with that driver.

Judging by this post (http://forums.civfanatics.com/archive/index.php/t-145475.html), the first thing you need to do is update your driver. After that, sacrifice a chicken to the fickle gods of integrated graphics, and let us know how it went.

I know it's completely OT but that just reminded me of a quote from a SimHQ article:

Once the installation process was over I fired up the program and was met with the opening screen. Now, I know what you are thinking: I didn’t defrag, or reboot, or sacrifice a chicken and put the feathers in my hat and turn three circles while chanting “system fast, system fast, frame rate stutters in the past..”
