I m sorry if this has been posted before. My faction buttons when i end the turn and also in the diplomacy screen are all brown and they look really low quality in contrast to those of EB 0.74.
If someone can tell me how than i will post a screen.

Those icons have been altered to fit each specific culture's interface (GUI). One member complained about this recently and a poll was put up and it was something like 85-95 percent in favor of keeping them the culture-specific way instead of going back to the basic faction symbols. We'll continue to work on them (some aren't perfectly centered - and some could be enhanced a bit more), but yes, they will remain in the same style the rest of your culture's GUI.
i think the problem is that with some factions its hard to distinguish the icons because they are a combination of two similar colours, for example, red and brown. some also have a very dark look, as if the monitor was on a very low brightness setting.

Ok i dont want to be disrespectful since this is your mod and you will do it the way you like. I am just having a bit of a problem with these buttons. I get the point of them staying in a fashion with the GUI. The problem for me is that all the flags of the armies and the cities on the campaign and battle map actually dont have this culture specific look. It just doesnt look right when going into the diplomacy screen.
Sorry for being obnoxoius about this. Just wanted to post my opinion as a true fan of your mod. Now you can go ahead and shoot me.

In order to make the ones on the map look like those in the GUI, you'd need hundreds more faction banners AND some kind of batch file that loads in the correct ones depending upon which faction you play. So it would be a HUGE amount of work for basically no reason.
The idea of the GUI is to give you a cultures-eye view of at least part of the mod, depending on your faction. Extending this view to the whole map would be nice, but it's just not possible given the limits of the game engine. The alternative would be for this portion of all GUIs to look identical. Bor-ing.

Understood. :beam:
Just a small note on faction icons and GUIs: are you aware that the greek GUI still uses the old 0.74 faction icons in sharedpage_01.tga? All the other GUIs use the 0.8 faction icons.

Yeah Batahr, it's been corrected but might not be in the batch of immediate fixes in our first patch (which is now much closer to completion).
