View Full Version : Problem with Photoshop Skinning

I've made a new skin for the Britannia Swordsmen unit, just changed the trousers. Anyway, I saved it in Photoshop as AA_BRI_KLYDABBRE. So, I edited descr_model_battle to contain AA_BRI_KLYDABBRE in the textures bit for the Britannia Swordsmen. I have tried saving the file several ways in Photoshop, none of which work. These include:

AA_BRI_KLYDABBRE with the formant as DDS
AA_BRI_KLYDABBRE.TGA with the format as DDS

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong, any help would really be appreciated.

:help:

See this tutorial for correct save settings:
https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=58962
basically you have to save in dds format DXT5 2dtexture with generate all MIP maps. And with file called name.tga.dds

File you put into models_unit/textures has to be
name.tga.dds
but file you list in DMB has to be
file path/name.tga
if you leave .dds on the end it CTD's when you reach end of battle loading bar!
