This forum looks fantastic for the Total War series. The official Total War forum looks good as well. Are there any good forums that cater to strategy pc gaming in general, along with many different games (other than specializing in one series)?

Strategy Informer always seems to have the latest news and downloads very quick - link here http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/

Strategy Zone Online used to be good too, but they have recently changed their name to Extreme Gamer. Still seems to be predominantly strategy stuff on there though - http://www.xtreme-gamer.com/index.php
