Hi there,

I play as the English and after bribing the Welsh army, I have built a Bowyer's Guild and a Castle in Wales. Now it is about the year 1133, but when I click on the train troops button, the Longbows aren't there, only the normal archers.

How do you get to train Longbow Archers? thanks.

MTW consists of three eras: Early starting AD1087, High starting AD1205 and Late starting AD1321. You can start your campaign at any of these eras but if you start in the early era the high and late eras will still come to pass anyway. Each era brings about new technology and often sees the phasing out of old. Longbows are one of these units, and are only available from 1205 onwards. The longbows you bribed in wales are the exception. They are the only ones you'll get until 1205.

Hi motorcycle! As Caravel says, you'll have to wait until 1205 to build them yourself....in the meantime, treat your bribed welshmen like gold - they will be really useful during the early phases, but the downside is that you won't be able to replace any casualties....oh, and use the 70 year interval you have available to "tech up" a little - so that when you CAN build longbows, you can build some REALLY useful ones!
