I'm France in year 1090. The faction leader Duke of Milan attacked Dijon... ALONE! A city of over 150 units. So I wheel out a general and my 10 unit attack force that was preparing to attack Brujes to discourage the Milanese in the south. Moved them next to the enemy faction leader, still nothing- he won't retreat! So I attack him, and in battle he won't retreat against 3 peasant archers and one crossbow raining down death upon him. Still no retreat! :wall:
I was really feeling sorry for this guy. The AI forces this, and he (a 6 star general and fairly young) just stood there like a brave knight. So I called a halt to my shameful display when his forces were a little less in number than my general, and sent my own general to battle one-on-one with this brave soul. I lost a few, but since his HPs were so depleted I won.
I will build a small shrine (watchtower) to honor the Duke's sacrifice for roleplaying reasons. But damn, what's with the AI??? Milan is sending 3 units with no general against Marseilles and a general + 5 units. Has anyone fixed Milan's suicidally aggressive AI? :inquisitive:
