View Full Version : Casse 0.8 Camulosadae seaport doesn't trade
I started a game as Casse, blew it by going against the rebels too early, and started another game as Casse. In both games, my diplomat gained trade agreements with other factions, and the ports in the cities I took (Ictis in the first game, Ratae and Caern-Brigantae in the second) started trading with the Aedui.
However the Camulosadae port does not trade. No blue dotted 'trade' line on the map, and no sea trade import or exports in the city details screen. This has significant implications for treasury/strategy.
Also, even after declaring war with the Eleutheroi they do not attack me - they just stay in ambush mode in the Cassemorg forest. It seems to be a very one-sided war as long as I stay away from the ambush.
I am using the BI executable to run this mod.
Sorry if the trade bug was reported earlier, I tried searching the forum and could not find it.

This has been reported and will will be fixed - it's just a matter of us not including map changes in the immeidate patch, so it will have to wait a bit more unless you want to edit the map yourself or we make it available quickly and separately.

I pointed this one out a week or so ago - evidentially the port is on the wrong pixel of the map, preventing shiny happy fun trading times for the Casse (possibly also contributing towards their tendency not to expand?). It is fixable by editing MAP_REGIONS.TGA, then deleting map.rwm, but that is fairly touch-and-go - do it wrong and the world doesn't work anymore and sad, terrible things happen.
Thanks, after reading this I thought to edit the TGA file but it looks garish in notepad and I'm not sure what software I'd use to edit it. None of the free stuff seems to be able to open, edit & save TGA. (I figure with backed up game folders I could work on it til I get it right). I'd love to have a trading seaport in Camulosadae, but I'll tough it out with the impotent port, now that I have ports in three other settlements that are trading in 259BC.

OK, here's the one I'm working with - for the love of <insert choice of deity/deity substitute here> back up MAP_REGIONS.TGA before putting this in (in EB/data/world/maps/base), then delete map.rwm. Start up EB, and see what happens - if you get crashes, replace the MAP_REGIONS.TGA with your original backup copy, re-delete map.rwm and start up again; things should be ok after that.

I accept payment in women and accolades!
Could you create a version that also includes the map mod which expands the sahara province to the sea? Also, you may want to post this in the unofficial mod page.
Laundreu, :2thumbsup:
I think you just heavily tipped my current game in Casse's favor! After following the instructions I opened up my saved game and suddenly I'm earning almost 1200 in sea trade through that port! Everything else looks great, I just have to play through to see if any crashes, etc. develop and report back if it does. Thanks again, so much!
So far so good. I am at 235BC and have all of the British isles, half of Gaul, and the north coast of Iberia conquered and no problems with the port. However, I am experiencing a similar bug with Pallantia's port (Northern Iberia), which has already been reported in the forums.
