View Full Version : Halberd + Phalanx Formation, how to do?

Ok, i have made https://img369.imageshack.us/img369/8263/spearaxeqy9.jpg Halberd, and I want THIS Hallberd with the Phalanx Formation, but when I change the export_descr_unit.txt to Spearman+Phalanx Formation the game change MY Halberd to a another spear, how can i fix that ?:book:

Phalanx's spear model is in Data/models called weapon_hoplite_pike_high.CAS and weapon_hoplite_pike_low.CAS. The low model is used at certain draw distance. This is hardcoded as I have never seen a text file that controls it. Note that replacing these files with yours will replace all phalanges, long and short, pike models in-game. So you cannot have phalanx units with different modeled pikes. The short pike is just the long pike getting shortened by the engine.

The texture is in Data/models/textures/ called weapon_phalanx_spear.tga.dds, if I'm not mistaken.

and...If i creat a new formation, like the phalax but with other weapon ? It can be done?

The same formation( copy and paste) but change the .cas and .dds for the new one

You can't make new formations like the phalanx. It's hardcoded because it deals with animation routines.
