Folks,

Basically I've been Spain and France. As Spain I got the Knights of Santiago and as France I got the Hostipalliars of St John. I never got offered the templar knights? Is this possible for those nations?

Cheers

Spain can only get Knights of Santiago. Holy Roman Empire can only get Teutonic Knights. The rest of the catholic factions can get one of the Hospitallers or Templars, but not both. You tend to get the offer for the Hospitallers first, and personally I think they're better.

But the Hospitallers grant a health bonus to the province. Templars don't.

Hospitallers can also have higher armor value. They get 2 upgrades, the templar's one. The hospitallers are far easier to get too. As for who can get them, any catholic faction besides portugal, spain and the HRE.

That's one thing that makes me feel like playing a Catholic faction (despite the slow infantry drudgery), the Hospis.

They look cool, all black....black helmets... "Luc I am your F A T H E R!"

Templars charge without orders, so the hospitallers are better imo
