Sidestep?

I remember being able to alt-click in RTW to get a unit to maintain facing and rank while moving to a new location. (basically just sidestep)

I can't get this to work in M2TW. Did they change it or take it out, or am I not doing it correctly?

A simple right click usually works, but if it doesn't you can always select your whole army and right click and drag to the required width (maintaining rank and facing if you do it right)

Yeah, that's what I've been doing, redragging, thx.

If I just right click, it seems my guys always want to turn to face towards where I've clicked.

I could've sworn I used to be able to alt click in RTW to stop them from turning. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly.

Did you play MTW ? It was like that in MTW.

Simple right click in M2:TW = girl scout jamboree rather than disciplined army movement. Frustrating.
