wow, I am shocked. I lost my first campaign, this is something that has not happened since I bought MTW. So far this game is very impressing:2thumbsup:
Wow... thats kind of random considering I jsut got done reading 2 or 3 topics about how the game is too easy, but whatever. I have lost... well given up since I had no hope left, 2 games already on Normal/Normal of all difficuilties :embarassed: (I think that is what it was... I forgot, but it isn't like me to do anything hard and I feel normal should be the games base difficulty, so that should be it), but then again, I am not that good at these types of games, though they still can be quite entertaining

well I have played both MTW and RTW, (vanilla and EB) and while MTW was challenging for quite some time, once you master the game it isn't that difficult anymore, still fun but easy on VH. On RTW the game was a cake walk, and I was never really interested in the Roman time frame. So far M2TW is both a challenge and quite fun for me. Sometimes I think people take games to seriouly and need to remember that they are just for fun :laugh4: , not a historical simulator. Happy Gaming:jumping:
Lefaid, Try it on Easy/Easy. You can also get a lot of tips by going through the forum, and generally if you post a question it gets answered within 48 hours, depending on difficulty
[HEY !!! does anyone finally know how I can open a save game ?... ~;) ]
Tristrem Congrats, I hope to join the club soon.
I agree games should remain fun.

It's nice to see a post saying that games are just for fun. I concur, and it's what i use as a basis for the games i play. No point in playing a game if you can't enjoy it.

Indeed, game are made to be fun. And I'm had a blast in my previous HRE campaign. I had made a dash for Italy, demolished Sicily and took the small islands. I had Milan as my ally and I kicked Venice out of Venice because they dared attack me.
Thinking I was safe, I started building. I only had castles at Cagliari and the other island, because I felt they were best placed to deliver troops all across the western shores. Turns pass. Then suddenly, Venice drops a HUGE, well-equiped army at my castle at Cagliari. I had a motley defence of 3 Dismounted Knights (best I could produce at the time) and a Chivalrous family member. The castle fell. Then Venice was besieged by a monster stack. On the mainland, my cities could only produce Spear militia and Crossbow militia. So, I was in a dire strait. I desperately scrounged some low-tech armies together, but they were no match for the Dismounted Broken Lances that Venice had.
Then Milan betrayed me. Two huge armies descended on Bologne. I was going crazy because I had nothing that could stop them both. I tried to bribe them into a ceasefire, but Milan refused and allied with Venice instead.
I was still top-dog according to the charts, but I couldn't win the war. Clubbing them with masses of cheap units was the only resort I had left, but unfortunatly, I had to abandon the campaign when the PTPV mod came out.
