Fear not Monarch. It is taken offline because they have received all the nominations and are compiling the candidate poll threads for each category. It will open back up once they are ready to begin voting.

I have a degree in "silly", much to the embarassment of my kids, so I thought I'd relieve your silly stress.

It's around seasonal time. It's about 90% ready to go, but HOF06 is one event.

Am I the only one who's finding it slightly ironic that the HOF06 winners are actually decided in '07 ?

Not, but you could at least select the winners in the year they were nominated in.

I think we kind of follow the template of the various music and movie awards; The Academy Awards (Oscars), for example, vote for Best 2006 Picture, etcetera in January 2007, and present in late Feb 2007.

well... you also cant say who was the best of the year untill 23:59:59 2006 because it might still change... maybe a marvelous contributor shows himselfs on the 30th of december... and you might want to vote him/nominate him... so actually it is better to end nominating on 23:59:59 2006 because that is the utter date you can decide who was the best of 2006

Why would said poster be home and not at a party, drinking his brains out?
And, realise that with all the different timezones, that would come into play. Say someone on the west coast of America looks at the clock and it is 2359.59. Over here, it would be 1359.59, so what time decides when 2006 ends and when 2007 begins.
