I will need to get a new video card but other then that I should be able to play M2TW but only barely. I have a Athon XP 1700 (1.466Ghz)

IN RTW I can play with huge unit size with out a problem.

Should I buy a new video card just for M2TW? How well will my computer be able to handel it?

I am wondering if anyone else is playing M2TW on a lower end system?

Note: I can not play the demo because I do not have the video card for it.

Any help here would be just wonderful.

Thank you all for your time. :2thumbsup:

If you can not play the demo there is no way you will be able to play the Game. I play mine on a 1024 RAM computer and and I have to have it Low setting.

Well maybe it is the other stuff in my computer like, I do not know a lot about computers, is Radeon X300 good?

garland, that processer isn't great either and i certainly wouldn't want to try playing m2 with it; but if it runs rome, then you should be able to sneak in.

How much RAM have you got and what video card are you thinking of getting?

Warluster, its definitely not the best there is.

I am useing 768 megs of ram.

I know that if I can't play the demo I can't play the game but I've been thinking it is the video card that has been preventing me from playing the game. With a new video card I should be able to play the game but I'm not sure how well.

I am willing to live with smaller unit sizes. I used huge unti sizes in RTW.

Put it this way - you might be able to, but i wouldn't want to try it.

You're probably better off saving up for a new system at some time in the future (as any video card you buy now will be incompatible with that system). You've got nowhere to go upgrading the CPU and there's no point increasing the RAM, unfortunately.

@Warluster, no, it's not a great card, but it should at least run the game.

I am pretty sure you cannot play the game with it. You need more RAM, and the processor could be only enough for small unit size. Buying a new videocard isn't gonna help that much. You need a new comp for this one.

I know how you feel Garland, my latest PC can't even handle Rome ~:mecry: so I'm stuck with MTW untill I give up smoking and therefore can afford a new PC.

I'm not complaining too much though as I've just discovered XL ~:thumb:
