I am no genius at computers, and I was just wanting to ask (the masters!) if some of this stuff is good
Raedon X300 series- Is that good?
1024 RAM-Is that good?
160GB HD space-is that good?
Just wondering,

"Good" really depends on what you want to do. I am assuming that you want to play TW. Everything is good for TW except for the x300. Not that you couldn't run m2tw on it, it just wouldn't run as good as it could with a newer card. If you are looking to upgrade, that would be where I would start, but it depends on the rest of your system components too.

Ok, because I run M2Tw on it and it works perfect with everyting but Massive sieges. But it has to be on Medium Setting
Just my suggestions:
You should go for a Nvidia Geforce 6600 or a Geforce 7600. I was told by a freind of mine, when purchasing this thing that I have now, who builds computers, that most games are designed to be run on Nvidia cards. With one of those two I think you could get to full.
RAM fine. For the futre you may wish to clock it up to 2048MB which is reccomended for the next version of Windows.
Hard Drive good. Actually, for me anyway, that would be way to massive. I have coped with a 32GB hard drive for ages and have never had any problems. If you want to go cheaper then get a smaller one.

Out of my 160 GB HD ihave used about I have used 20GB for XP, I have used 40GB so far! But I dont uninstall my games after playing them so I should get rid of a few.

A 6600??? Don't even consider a 6 series card. 7600 or above only. As for games being designed for nvidia is only a marketing gimic. I have an ati x1950pro that runs m2tw better than my 6800. Hard drives are dirt cheap nowadays. You can get a 320GB drive for under $100 from newegg (US only). As for Vista, IMO, it would be best to wait. Who knows how games are going to run on it plus it needs some serious horsepower to run it anyway. Best to stick with XP for now if you ask me.
As blackaxe said, there's no truth in the theory that games run better on nvidia (in fact, before the geforce 8 series came out the ati 1950 was by far the superior card)
