Hey Everyone. I'm new to this forum but I been to this site before. Just a quick question. Is Europa Barbarorum a completed mod? It seems to me it is. I downloaded it a couple of months ago when it was still in Beta mode and I screwed up my other mods so I don't want to do that again. Also, is this mod easier or harder than the other RTW versions?

It is a total conversion, but with 0.8 it now uses the -mod switch. This will allow you to play multiple mods and even vanilla from the same install.

The Europa Barborum project is still in beta stage, but the latest version (0.8) is quite stable, and hopefully the upcoming patch will sort out the last CTD issues. Like abou said, the new version uses Mod switches, so it should not interfere with others mods. Europa Barborum is one of the most difficult R:TW mods around, so some experience with the game is required if you want to enjoy it.

EB is not in beta stage compared to other mods. It is fun, quite stable and play well. It is actually more finished than some "full versions" of some mods

It is, on the other hand, in the beta stage compared to wishes of the team members, and what we want to put in. This is more decision of the team to call everything before "we can't put in even one thing more" a beta.

The mod is certainly more difficult. I've seen some AAR reports with only several provinces conquered after 30 years or so (120 turns). So don't expect to steamroll Europe. But it's fun, and there's a lot of variety in the troops. *nod*
