Recently, I have been trying to add a new temple to a new faction I've been working on. Everything worked up until the new building was added. I kind of thought I understood the files that needed to be changed, and what changes to make, but, alas. Now when I load up the mod to try it out the game won't even load, so of course the show_err command doesn't help at all. I've uploaded the files, (that I've changed) hopefully someone out there will look at them and immediately know what is wrong or what other files I have to alter.
The files in question all have changes that refer to temple of leadership 2.

{temple_of_leadership_2_shrine_barbarian} Shrine to the Dagda

{temple_of_leadership_2_shrine_barbarian_desc}
The Irish-Celtic god of the earth and treaties, and ruler over life and death. Dagda, or The Dagda, ("the good god") is one of the most prominent gods and the leader of the Tuatha Dé Danann. He is also known as Eochaid Ollathair (Father of All) and Ruad Rofhessa (Lord of Great Knowledge) Unlike the some of the other major Irish deities, Dagda was a deity confined to Ireland; no reference or evidence was found that he was worshipped on Continental Europe. He is a master of magic, a fearsome warrior and a skilled artisan. Dagda is a son of the goddess Danu, and father of the goddess Brigid and the god Aengus mac Oc. The Morrigan is his wife, with whom he mates on New Years Day
The Dagda is portrayed as possessing both super- human strength and appetite. His attributes are a cauldron with an inexhaustible supply of food, a magical harp with which he summons the seasons, and an enormous club, with one end of which he could kill nine men, but with the other restore them to life. He also possessed two marvellous swine---one always roasting, the other always growing---and ever-laden fruit trees.

Just from a quick glance you seem to have left out the _name tag at the top of the export_buildings.txt file (did I read right and you put it in edb enum instead???). Try adding that in and see what it does (and removing it from edbe).

Cormaeg

Not sure exactly what you mean, Dol...in the edbe if you are talking about the line

temple_of_leadership_2_name

I added that because I saw all these others there-

temple_of_battle_name
temple_of_battleforge_name
temple_of_farming_name
temple_of_fertility_name
temple_of_forge_name
temple_of_fun_name
temple_of_governors_name
temple_of_healing_name
temple_of_horse_name
temple_of_hunting_name
temple_of_justice_name
temple_of_law_name
temple_of_leadership_name
temple_of_leadership_2_name
temple_of_love_name
temple_of_naval_name
temple_of_one_god_name
temple_of_trade_name
temple_of_victory_name
temple_of_violence_name
temple_of_horse_2_name
temple_of_viking_name

and I just assumed I better put one in for mine. Now in the text/export_buildings.txt, far as I know these are the name tags for this building-oh wait, I see what you mean here, although I couldn't imagine they'd make the game not load. What I should have is these, you mean?

{temple_of_leadership_2_shrine_barbarian} Shrine to the Dagda

{temple_of_leadership_2_temple_barbarian} Sacred Grove of the Dagda

{temple_of_leadership_2_large_temple_barbarian} Sacred Circle of the Dagda

Am I right?

Existing temples have section like this in export_buildings.txt

{temple_of_leadership_name}
Temples - effects are dependant on the particular god worshipped at a temple

you also seem to have a typo in:

{temple_of_leadership_2_shrine_barbarian_desc_shor t}
The Irish-Celtic god of the earth and treaties, and ruler over life and death. Dagda, or The Dagda, ("the good god").
there's a space in the 'short' unless you just acquired that whilst posting it here...

EDIT: actually you've got quite a few of those type of errors you've got a des c and a couple of
sh ort and some spaces that shouldn't be there between the underscores and also at the end of the strings before the closing } - you really need to go through all those strings very carefully!

Cormaeg

Hi, Makanyane! Thanks for looking and speculating.

As far as the typos you are pointing out, I'm not really sure how they happened, since all I did was copy and paste and I'm not seeing those in the original. It worries me, since I kind of thought copying and pasting was foolproof (unlike my amateur typing abilities) and almost every entry I've made in the original files was by that method and only changing relevant lines.

However, I did not know about the other line found in that file, which was obviously what Dol Guldur was also pointing out that I didn't understand. That might well be the problem, unless I do have typos I'm not seeing.

I'll try it out and report back!

Thanks to both of you!
