Who came up with the short building describitions and some of the long ones? They are a blast, just the thing I need to see after all your allies turn on you.
Some examples. These are just from Carthage too. There's a gold mine here, who ever did this was either really bored or has a good sense of humor. Either way, your my hero.
A small school has been constructed in this city. Our children will now have a proper place for their education. No unsacrificed child will be left behind here now!
A very large military port has now been built in this province. There are few peoples that can hope to compete with the ships we can send out from here. At the very least, we should be able to finish off those pesky pirates now. It will be a great day when the last of them is defeated. But maybe a sad one too. Why? Because pirates are sorta cool too. Cool, but about to be so dead.
The city has grown, and we had to build a better residence for our local governor. The locals are awed by it, we can already tell. Go take a look, you'll see they are happier. He's probably happier too. Everybody's happy but me. I have to keep telling you about these new buildings every turn and I never get thanked for it.
Very nice indeed! The new palace is enormous. It will awe visiting ambassadors and officials from other lands. The people are happy now too with its construction. We're even thinking of selling little models of it to tourists. We'll probably make a killing doing that. I could get rich and quit this job. But then who would let you know what had just been built in some new foreign sounding place? Do you even know how hard it is to pronounce these things sometimes? Why don't you try it Mr. Smartypants? We're waiting. And we *will* laugh when you mess it up (which undoubtedly you will do). Oh forget it. I'll do it. You're worthless.
The people are happy because you have made a large grant of land that will soon become a large farming estate. Well, when I say "people" I mean all those individuals who are about to make a lot of money off of this agreement, but since that is a number of people, there are a lot who are happy right now. Everybody but me. Did I get a cut of this? No. Of course not. I'm just the poor sot who had to tell you about it. I hope you are all so very very happy celebrating. What I really hope is that you get drunk and fall off the roof of your house.
A bazaar has now been constructed in this town. The locals have a much better supply of imported goods here now also. But I'm glad I don't live near the new bazaar though - carts running back and forth all night to stock things, all those commoners squeezing in to see the new goods for sale. Nope, I'm happy to live here in the rich section of town, where I deserve to be, because let's face it, I'm better than most of you.
There should be a description here. For when the Punes sent out people to form a new colony somewhere. Have you ever said "Colony" out loud really slowly? It's a weird word. Sort of disgusting actually. "Colon-y". Like an adjective describing your lower intestines. Yuck.
We have just sent out a new colony from this great city. Our people rejoice and the city should be happy now. Thank goodness we were able to talk those guys into leaving. We got rid of the worst ones really. A bunch of criminals mostly. Tanit help the world if enough of those type people ever actually had control of a whole continent.
