View Full Version : Does anybody know when the new Avatars are coming in?
Query is in the title....
Do you mean the avatars from the contest?
They're already accessible by using the 'url avatar' feature and browsing to the gallery (linked in the user cp), finding the avatar you want and copying its path into the text box. You then must enable the feature in your options menu to see it.
Oh, and your sig's too big - i know one of them is bound to be the broadband only one, but the other has to be above the limit (not that i care, but it's just a friendly warning in case someone who does comes along).

No...I meant the medieval 2 ones...unless they are the same from medival...I wouldnt know...
I wasn't aware that they were planned.
I think that Tamur is working on them. You may want to PM him.
As far as i know, tamur completed his work on the m2tw avatars and uploaded them to the gallery (http://www.totalwar.org/patrons/pics/avatars/index.php?st=foto&foto_dir=avatar/m2twcontest), as i indicated earlier.
Yes, we're working on getting both the standard game avatars in as well as the contest winners currently. I can't say what timeframe, but it is in the works.
:book:
I think he's referring to the portrait images from the game (M2TW). The .org is currently using the ones from STW/MI, MTW, VI, RTW and BI as far as I'm aware. I believe he is enquiring as to when the ones from M2TW will be added to the list.
I suppose CA have to give permission?
I would presume that they would have got permission by now, that is if they have to get permission Tamur posted that in November. How long does getting copyright permissions from a large cooperation like the CA/Sega normally take?
I doubt copyright is the issue (there are exceptions for fansites from what i know) but rather getting them into the db without breaking something ;)

Breaking something?

Breaking something?
When a forum is running a lot of mods, anything new has the potential to stuff it up :laugh4:
