What a great innovation this was. I practically lived on these noodles when I started my career out on Long Island. I had to maintain two households, we had a house we just bought in Western New York where my wife and infant daughter stayed till I could transfer back. The only place I could afford to rent on Long Island was a bedroom/bathroom over a garage in North Islip. I had no cooking facilities, no refridgerator. Just my hot-pot, can opener, a jar of peanut butter, loaf of bread. A lot of my hot meals were instant noodles with some canned tuna & tabasco sauce added to spice it up. I still eat the stuff.
Thank you, Mr. Ando, for sustaining me in my time of need.

My sustenance in hard times, of which I've had a few, may the fruits of your invention carry you to paradise.

This man is the equal of Edison, inventor of the light bulb.

Rest in peace, old man! You left the world, I hope, knowing your invention will sustain us til the LORD giveth us Star Trek!

RIP. I always wondered who invented the clever noodles, but never knew until now. This man deserves a thousand medals.

I've never actually eaten any of his famous product, but I still salute him. My friends use Ramen frequently. It is by the way the most calories you can get per dollar.

Anyone ever look at the nutritional info on the back of the package? It's pretty frightening stuff.

Ya, I tend to stay away from it because I have to stay fit.

That's why you supplement it with beer, which supplies the remaining necessary nutrients.
